The renovation of Rockleigh Golf Course began in 2001 and included reconstruction and expansion of all tee areas, bunker renovations and the addition of 21 new bunkers, the reconstruction of two greens and new continuous cart paths. The project was completed in 2004 and after raising the Greens fees, the county reported an all-time gross revenue high for their four golf courses in 2004. Additionally the County reported a reduction in maintenance costs and fewer customer complaints.

Golf Inc. judge Rick Robbins of Robbins & Associates Golf Course Design said : "There were very dramatic improvements for what did not seem to be a big budget."
