The New Mohegan Sun Country Club Now Complete…to Reopen in Spring 2012
The major renovation and restyling of Mohegan Sun Country Club in Baltic, CT is complete. Designed for the Mohegan Tribal Commission by Golf Course Architect, Robert McNeil and built by NMP Golf Construction, the "new" MSCC will reopen in early 2012 after closing its doors for the project in the summer of 2010. The work has been an effort to freshen the look and strategy of the course while solving some inherent functional and agronomic issues. The project included the construction of 68 newly styled bunkers, new greens, surrounds and approaches, new tee complexes increased in scale and varied in angle, newly routed holes embracing the broad reaching elevations on the property, a complete cart path system, 3 lakes with automatic water transfer, extensive drainage and a state of the art Toro irrigation system.
